In the Lowther Arcade, the covered way that runs from English Street through to Lowther Street, in premises that had been the Citadel Tavern's; records give the address as 77-79 English Street. The Citadel, the scheme's amalgamation of the Wellington and the Three Crowns, traded under its own name until 1986, when Yates Wine Lodge took it over. Yates ran it until 22 February 2008. From 1 November that year the premises were Annabel's, and from 2010 Outrageous, which closed in 2019. It was also known for a time as the City Diner.
