A different Crown and Thistle from the one still trading on Church Street, Stanwix -- a separate, lost pub on Rickergate, listed in the 1829 Cumberland directory. The 1821 New Guide to Carlisle names William Tweddle at the sign, p76. Nothing else about it has surfaced.
