On the scheme's 1920 roll of Carlisle pubs, and one of the houses the Central Control Board shut down in its own clear-out just after the state took over. The Carlisle Journal of 22 July 1921 reported it temporarily closed; the city's own minutes for 1921-22 (p157) record it permanently closed on 25 September 1921.
