A separate business from Rouge next door, and the two were open at the same time. This site previously had the Las Vegas down as an earlier name for Rouge, which was wrong: they were neighbours, not predecessor and successor. It opened on the night of Wednesday 19 May 2010 and was reported the next day. A photography company covering the city's nightlife announced that a three thousand capacity nightclub had opened in Carlisle: the bright lights of Las Vegas have arrived, the city's newest bar and club complex, the Las Vegas Strip, opened its doors last night.

The gaming licence follows on 21 May, two days later, which is the paperwork catching up with the doors. Three thousand is the number to hold on to. The Brickyard takes 320 and the Source 180. This was ten times the Brickyard, in one building, and it lasted eight years. There is one listing that shows what the room actually was. Unit 8 appears on a gig-listing site as the English Gate Plaza Live Music Lounge, capacity 450, open nine at night until four in the morning.

Rouge holds that same Unit 8 today and is a small club. A four hundred and fifty capacity live venue is a different order of thing, and it fits the recollection of a strip of themed bars, an Irish bar among them, wrapping around rather than one room. The gaming licence was surrendered in October 2018. Its opening was covered at the time in the News & Star and the Cumberland News, and those archives are not online in any form this site can reach, so the date, the cost and the names of the bars inside are sitting in a newspaper file in Carlisle and nowhere else.
