On Botchergate. The exact spot isn't known, so the pin marks the street, not the building.

In the Botchergate directories between 1855 and 1893 or 1894, having traded earlier as the Founders Arms, from at least 1822, and then as the Moulders Arms, from 1828. It was an Iredale's Brewery house. The 1891 census gives Thomas Hilton, aged 30, innkeeper, born Carlisle. It became the Botchergate Conservative Club on 28 August 1893.

It is almost certainly the same house as the Albert Hotel, which carries the same run of names, closes as a hotel in 1892 and becomes the same club; it is recorded at 150 Botchergate before the street was renumbered and at 18-20 after. Thomas Hilton is named in the newspaper reports of 1890 to 1892 as licensee of the Albert Hotel, and lost it after convictions for gaming and late opening, which makes this and the Albert Hotel one house; the full story is told there.
