A separate, older Green Dragon from the notorious one on Newtown Road -- and not the third, shorter-lived Green Dragon that traded on Rickergate/Solway Terrace in the 1860s and 70s either. This one was in local directories to 1861. The 1821 New Guide to Carlisle names it as 'Mrs Elliot's'; the 1861 census gives Robert Ivison, 36, innkeeper and carrier, as its last recorded landlord.
