John Wallace was innkeeper here in 1891 -- the only trace of it found so far. A genuinely separate pub from both the Railway Inn at 104 London Road and the Railway Tavern, the name the Golden Quoit on Botchergate traded under from 1861 to about 1897 -- three differently-named "Railway" pubs on this stretch of road, easily confused with each other.
