The last pub standing from a 1910 photograph of Caldewgate that also showed the Queens Head and the Royal Oak. Those two went in 1918 and 1987. The Globe outlasted them both and then closed in 2010, one of ten Carlisle pubs lost between 2010 and 2017, when the city went from 85 licensed premises to 75.
