History
A member-owned indoor bowls centre on the Viaduct Estate with a bar and a cafeteria that gets better notices than most pub kitchens — a Sunday lunch for two at around eleven pounds is the sort of thing that gets mentioned.
It runs beginners' courses with equipment supplied, and members describe it as one of the better indoor centres in the country. Non-bowlers are welcome at the bar.
It stands close to where the Central Hotel used to be, on the Victoria Viaduct — a State Management pub demolished in 2020.
