The Seven Stars Inn
- Built

- Gone
- A beerhouse under this sign was still being advertised to let in January 1858
- There now
- Not established
In the local directory for 1844 -- a single year, on its own too thin for an entry -- but a Carlisle Journal advertisement from 29 January 1858 offers a beerhouse to let under the sign of the seven stars in the same part of the city, fourteen years after the directory's own citation. Whether that is this same beerhouse still trading, or a second house re-using a popular sign, isn't settled, but between the two citations this pub's known life stretches well beyond a bare name and a date.
