The village pubs and inns within about ten miles of Carlisle, nearest first: out along the Eden to Wetheral, Great Corby and Warwick-on-Eden, west across the Solway plain to Burgh by Sands and Great Orton, north to Longtown, and east towards Brampton and the fells.
