Wetherspoons in Carlisle
Carlisle has two Wetherspoons, a couple of hundred yards apart on Botchergate and both a short walk from the station. The Woodrow Wilson, in the old Co-op department store, is the older and quieter of the two, with the biggest real ale range in the city. The William Rufus, a Lloyds No. 1, is busier and younger, with a DJ at weekends. Both open early for breakfast.
