Walton, Carlisle
Old Vicarage Brewery
Brewery, taproom and B&B on the Hadrian's Wall path at Walton.
History
A brewery, taproom and B&B in a former vicarage at Walton, right on the Hadrian's Wall path โ so it catches walkers coming off the Wall as well as locals.
It belongs with West Walls and the Spinners in the modern brewing revival, which matters here because the State Management Scheme closed almost every brewery in the district a century ago. Three now brewing again, in the city, in a Redfern pub and in an old vicarage.
