One of the short-lived ones, and recent enough that the paperwork is the best record of it. Abstrakt Gallery Bar opened on Fisher Street in March 2018, a few doors down from the Brickyard and from the same people as Open Mind: an open gallery, entertainment venue and bar, by its own description. Art on the walls, a Belhaven range on draught, live local music, and Friday and Saturday nights rather than a seven-day operation.

The premises licence ran from 16 March 2018 and was surrendered with effect from 13 February 2024, and nothing has traded there since. The spelling is the part that caused trouble: it is Abstrakt with a k, which is how the venue wrote it and how CAMRA indexed it, while the licensing register has it as Abstract. That, plus an address recorded at the wrong end of the street, kept this one listed as open on this site for longer than it should have been. A listings site indexes it as Abstrakt/Black Box, which may be a later name and may be nothing at all.
