Opened in December 1985 as the Lanes Vaults, on Lowther Street. It had a troubled few years even before its final closure: an exemption licence was revoked in March 1987, forcing a threatened closure, and the pub was reported for sale that May over the licensing row, before being sold on again by December. It later became Fantasy, and then Ruby Tuesdays from around 1992 -- an August 1992 notice announced Ruby Tuesday's was about to open. The club called in receivers in September 1994, ending the Lowther Street building's short, difficult run as a nightspot under three different names in under a decade.
