At 3 Finkle Street, named on the 1865 Ordnance Survey map and run across the late 19th century by a series of named tenants — Mary Gilkerson from 1861, Christopher Little from the 1880s. Little applied to move the licence to new premises in 1899, but the city council instead declined to renew it at all in 1902, and a final tenancy agreement in December 1903 confirms it had by then closed for good. There was a separate, older Ordnance Arms on Scotch Street, which went on to become the Three Cannons — a different pub under a similar name, not to be confused with this one.
