In the directories from 1848 to 1858, at 1 Corporation Road. The 1861 census still shows Stephen Sharp, born at Castle Sowerby, as innkeeper there, which suggests it outlasted its last mention in print. There was another Buck Inn at Irishgate, advertised for sale in 1818, and whether the two are connected is not recorded.
