Where exactly
Peascod's Lane is an old lane name not readily traced on a modern map; placed approximately in the old city centre. Not a surveyed position

Francis Carrick, 55, is recorded as publican of the Old Dog and Bull in the 1841 census, already carrying the "Old" by then. The Carlisle Patriot advertised it on 2 July 1880. John Green, 34 and born at Cumwhitton, is the publican of the 1891 census, and Joseph Heap, 54 and born at Kendal, is recorded there in 1901, shortly before it closed.
