It was the Greenbank until a heavy refurbishment reopened it as the Nosey Cow in November 2016 — wood finishes throughout and a wood-fired pizza oven.
The name is the best thing about it, and it's true. There was a cow in the field across the road that took an interest in the building work. Every time the concrete mixer started up she came over to watch. So they named the pub after her.
Food-led now — pizza, British and Italian dishes, Sunday lunch, steaks, cocktails — with a couple of changing cask beers, a garden and parking. Dog and family friendly.
