Not demolished, refurbished -- and not the pub's first rebuild either. It was one of Harry Redfern's later "New Model Inns," completed on 1 September 1931 behind and replacing an older Carleton Inn, which was demolished as the new building went up. It kept the Greenbank name through the rest of the century, running as a jazz venue by the late 1990s -- a new jazz headquarters in 1997, a £20,000 facelift the same year, and a write-up the year after as a place of real note.

It was extensively done up again and reopened as the Nosey Cow in November 2016. So it belongs here as a lost name rather than a lost building. The pub is still there and still serving.
