The most reinvented address in Carlisle. This unit has been the Litten Tree, then Party Party from late 2008 to January 2012, then the Church, then Phoenix, then Glasshouse, and since August 2023, Ballers.
It has closed and reopened repeatedly along the way — shut in January 2015, back as Glasshouse in 2019, dark again in 2020, and reopened as Ballers in August 2023. The premises has effectively had several lives rather than one.
Sports bar now: screens, pool, air hockey, arcade machines, karaoke and food. The licence runs far later than the advertised hours — to a quarter to four in the morning at weekends.
The council's gambling register still carries the old Church name against this address, so the previous identities haven't entirely gone from the paperwork.
