A separate Jovial Butcher from the older Botchergate house of the same name, which became Deakin's Vaults. This one was a beerhouse at Kingstown, so named on the 1901 census; J. Flynn, a wood merchant, held it in the 1893-94 directory, and Matthew Graham is recorded as beerhouse keeper in 1901. A Carlisle Journal report of 27 February 1906 records a licensing session closing it.
