- Where exactly
- In Longtown. The exact spot isn't known, so the pin marks the place, not the building. The position is approximate.
A Longtown hotel that opened around 1790. Its licence went in 1909: the Longtown justices referred it to the Cumberland Compensation Authority as redundant, with three other houses in the town, its owners did not apply for renewal, and in June the authority sent it for compensation with the George & Dragon and the Marquis of Granby. Other records give 1906. It is believed to have become the town's Liberal Club. Not the Scotch Arms Hotel on Rickergate in Carlisle.
