On West Walls, trading as the Joiners Arms from 1841 before taking the Queens Arms name, and in the directories to 1873; one record carries it to 1875. A to-let advertisement ran in February 1856. One of several Joiners Arms in the city: not the English Street house now remembered as the Liverpool Arms, nor the Joiners Arms on Church Street, Caldewgate. In May 1868 the licence passed from W. Thompson to Patrick Trainer.
