On Head's Lane, trading under this name only briefly, from about 1850 into the mid-1850s. It's very possibly not a separate lost pub at all: Rose and Thistle is one of several names recorded for the Sportsman Inn a few doors along Heads Lane across its long life — Guy Earl of Warwick, White Ox, Lowther Arms, Rose and Thistle, Golden Quoit — so this may be that same building under an interim sign, between two of its better-known names, rather than a pub of its own. Nothing found so far settles it either way.
