A beerhouse by 1855 and in the directories as the Oddfellows Arms from 1858. Jane Hodgson, born at Gilsland, was innkeeper in 1861. First a Halls of Crown Street brewery house, then a Maryport Brewery one, it closed with the rest of the scheme's clear-outs in November 1916. Not to be confused with the other Carlisle pubs that also traded as an Oddfellows Arms at various points -- one on Fisher Street, and the City Vaults, on Fisher Street too, which wore the name for a spell of its own.
