Lost pub ยท Front Street, Brampton
The Black Bull
- Gone
- Closed and demolished 1903
- There now
- Brampton & District Conservative Club, built on the site
- Address
- Front Street, Brampton
- Where exactly
- On Front Street, Brampton. The exact spot isn't known, so the pin marks the town centre, not the building. The position is approximate.
In the centre of Brampton, on Front Street, trading before 1818. It closed and was demolished in 1903, and the Conservative Club was built on its site, so the drinking carried on in the same spot under a members' rule. A town history remembers the sequence differently, with the inn becoming a butcher's shop before the club, which would mean a conversion rather than a rebuild.
