- Where exactly
- Placed from the Ordnance Survey grid reference, NY3086858914, in Historic England's gazetteer of the scheme's premises. The building's use in 2018: residential.
At Longburgh, a mile down the road from Burgh, in a building of the late eighteenth or early nineteenth century. It was the Wheatsheaf on the Ordnance Survey map of 1900 and seems to have become the Rat Trap between 1906 and 1910, which is a rare case of a pub trading down its name. The scheme took it from the Old Brewery in August 1916 and closed it in 1936, the year the Greyhound opened as a pub. In July 1916 the Cumberland News listed it as the Rat Trap, Longburgh.
