Placed from the Ordnance Survey grid reference, NY3942855942, in Historic England's gazetteer of the scheme's premises. The building has since been demolished.

On John Street, trading from 1857 and in Carlisle directories from 1880. It was a Carlisle New Brewery house when the scheme acquired it in August 1916, is on the scheme's 1920 roll, and was sold to Greenall Whitley on 22 May 1973, or 29 May by one record. Jennings bought it in December 1978 and it was on the market at £109,000 by 1996. Mr and Mrs Pagan closed it for good in the spring of 2004, and the building was pulled down that year, the site reportedly going to student flats. There is a photograph of it from about 1902 in Carlisle: The Archive Photographs. The scheme improved it in 1963-4, new lavatories included. Historic England's gazetteer recorded the site as a vacant plot of land in 2018, which sits oddly with the student flats.
