In Carlisle directories from 1880 and on the scheme's 1920 roll. Jennings bought it in December 1978 and it was on the market at £109,000 by 1996. Mr and Mrs Pagan closed it for good in April 2004, with the building reported as going to student flats, though the Carlisle Encyclopaedia also records it as demolished that year, and the two accounts have not been reconciled.
