In the local directories from 1852 to 1858, on Cobden Street off Newtown Road. The 1861 census gives Rachel Dawson, aged 57 and born in Dalston, as innkeeper -- trading on for a short while past its last directory listing, or perhaps a name the census-taker still associated with the house. Two other White Cows stand elsewhere in this archive, on Corporation Road and Blackfriars Street.
