A beerhouse rather than a full public house, on Solway Street from about 1855. It was advertised to let in January 1858, the one year the local directories carry it. The 1861 census records Robert Irving, aged 43 and from Longtown, as an innkeeper at 3 Solway Terrace. One record carries the house on under another name, the Green Dragon, from 1870 to 1877, and a Green Dragon at 3 Solway Street appears until 1880.
