On the road to Dalston, halfway between the Cummersdale and Peter Lane junctions, and formerly the Drovers. It opened in the 1840s. The scheme acquired it from the Old Brewery in August 1916 and closed it in 1918, and the building survives as a house called Halfway House. In July 1916 the Cumberland News's list of the Ward's licensed houses prints it plainly as the Admiral Nelson, Dalston Road.
